The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has proposed new rules for labeling packaged foods as "healthy"

  • ๐Ÿ‘ŽOver 80% of Americans do not make healthy food choices – they eat too few vegetables, fruits, and dairy products, and too much of added sugar, saturated fat, and sodium.

The goal is to help people make informed nutritional choices and lower the risk of chronic diseases.

  • All products that meet the FDA’s health criteria will bear a logo intended to help consumers easily identify and select the right items.

The proposed changes come on the day of the first White House Summit on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health in more than 50 years. Check out more about it here.
