๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿฆ  Did you know that medium chain functional lipids get their name due to their antimicrobial, antiviral, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties? More importantly, were you aware that Berg+Schmidt supported research at the Cornell University Animal Health Diagnostic Center to investigate individual in vitro virucidal properties of medium chain monoglycerides against PEDv and PRRSv?

  • Although percentages varied, all tested treatments resulted in both PRRSv and PEDv reduction. In a nutshell, the monoglycerides of C8, C10, and C12, along with lauric acid, have antiviral properties against PEDv and PRRSv, with monolaurin expressing the greatest antiviral properties.

๐Ÿ’ก As if that wasn't already enough, Berg+Schmidt offers a full line of products including medium chain triglycerides (MCT), medium chain fatty acids (MCFA), and medium chain monoglycerides (MCM).  To learn more, contact Chad Risley at [email protected], or access their website here.
