Water under the bridge? ๐ŸŒŠ

swine o'clock Jan 18, 2023

๐Ÿ‘€ Last year was a complete package of supply chain disruptions, global conflicts, tight margins and historic inflation… But it’s water under the bridge now, right? Perhaps not entirely, but experts from the Purdue University Department of Agricultural Economics are now looking ahead to what the agricultural sector can expect in 2023.

    • Everything’s pointing towards another uncertain and volatile year in agriculture – we’re talking about a bit of a repetition here: a possible recession, impacts from the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, and high input and food prices. Also, after years of agriculture emergency and relief packages, government direct support to agriculture is set to fall dramatically.

๐Ÿง Not too bright a prediction? True enough. But together, we’ve got this! And in-depth analysis here, too.
