🔬 Researchers with North Carolina State University have partnered up with the Swine Health Information Center (SHIC) to examine the risks of swine disease transmission associated with the movement of swine transport vehicles.

🧐 The one-year project has developed a computer modeling technique aimed at tracking all truck movements. This would make it possible to analyze the frequency of the visits, understand the risk and the way certain pathogens may be transmitted through each route and thus, draw plans to mitigate viral transmission.
