The best incentive 🥓

Bacon is the best incentive to attend classes, wouldn’t you agree? The Illinois Pork Producers Association (IPPA) agrees – and has announced 45 recipients of the IPPA Food Service Grant for the fall of 2022. The grant will be given to all Illinois high school culinary, food services and consumer education classes and provides the necessary funding to purchase pork that teachers can implement in their respective classes.

• The goal is to educate students about pork production and the quality protein that pig farmers raise.
• Thomas Titus, President of the Illinois Pork Producers Association, says the project gives a positive experience to kids, teaches them how to properly cook pork, and ensures production in the next generations.

The grant is worth $10,000 and is expected to impact over 4,300 students. There’ll be a lot of people wishing they were back in school, huh…
