๐Ÿค As good as they may be, no football player can win a game alone, right? In the same sense, national pork organizations and the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) have joined efforts to prevent the entry of foreign animal disease vectors in the country. How? Well, through screening and awareness, basically.

     • All in all, CBP agriculture specialists and officers at ports of entry target, detect, intercept and thereby, prevent the entry of potential threats before they even have a chance to do any harm.

     • They have recently launched a Public Interdiction Reporting Dashboard as well: its data is updated monthly and includes the number of suspected swine products intercepted at the border each fiscal year since 2020.
