๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช A small farm in Germany has been found infected with the African Swine Fever (ASF) virus. Yes, unfortunately again: this time, it is located in Brandenburg – this find marks the fifth time the virus has shown up in domestic pigs in the state and the eighth in the whole country.

     • Germany’s national reference lab of the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut confirmed the case, after which all animals have been culled.

     • The ministry of Brandenburg is once again calling on pig farmers to comply with all prescribed biosecurity measures – that is paramount especially on small-scale farms, such as this one. Read more about the case here.
