๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต Researchers with the USDA Economic Research Service are forecasting that the US exports of pork to Japan will have increase by 2028. Due to our trade agreements with the land of the rising sun, the expectation is an additional $281 million of American pork exports being shipped to the Asian country.

  • This potential boost could result in lower domestic Japanese production, on one hand; and higher import volumes and thus, increased availability of lower-cost foreign pork for Japanese consumers, on the other hand.
