๐Ÿง‘‍๐Ÿ”ฌ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ That's what over 3,000 scientists said in an open letter defending the EU's flagship bill to restore nature. According to them, claims by center-right lawmakers that the proposal will hurt farmers and endanger food security aren't backed by actual, scientific evidence.

๐Ÿ“ƒ The EU bill is aimed at restoring 20% of damaged environments in Europe's land and sea by 2030. While the European People's Party, the biggest lawmaker group in the EU Parliament, has asked that it be rejected, the scientists have stated that the supposed risks to farmers and food chains not only lack scientific evidence, but outright contradict it.
