๐Ÿ“‰ If you were a soy-loving pig living on a farm in China right now, we’d have bad news for you… The country’s imports of soybeans fell 19% in October from a year earlier, as they hit their lowest monthly level since 2014 (!).

     • The reduced number of shipments leaves no room for doubt (as if there was any left):  the need to rebuild stockpiles is urgent.

     • To every action, there’s a reaction… The decrease comes as a consequence of the decade-high prices soybeans hit in June as bad weather cut production in Brazil – China's top supplier.

๐Ÿšซ All in all, the situation has left the Asian nation out of supplies, now that hog profits have recovered and boosted demand for the key protein ingredient – word is that soybean meal is the favorite among swine.

     • If all goes well, imports should pick up in November and December. But not right now, right now the market faces a very tight situation, unfortunately.
