๐ŸŒฝ As Thanksgiving approached, the corn basis made for a very challenging environment for livestock operations in the western Corn Belt. Paying such a premium is hurting bottom lines and more importantly, just securing enough corn has been tough. 

    •  What happened? In the blink of an eye, the demand for corn in the western Corn Belt for poultry, pork, and ethanol is outreaching the supply. Also, in the last four years, production has been flat in the western Corn Belt.
