๐Ÿ‘จ‍โš–๏ธ Ronald McDonald’s is taking it up with the court! The world-class restaurant chain has recently filed a lawsuit against several pork suppliers. The reason? It claims the companies have conspired to deliberately restrict pork output and limit production with the express intended purpose and expected result of increasing and stabilizing pork prices in the US.

    • Among the defendants are Smithfield Foods, Hormel Foods, JBS USA, Tyson Foods, and JBS USA. For the whole list, click here.

    • A net of secrets? Supposedly, the type of information shared by the companies isn't the kind of thing that competitors would normally provide each other in a competitive market (if you know what I mean…). Despite attempts to keep everything a secret, the companies let slip some hints during public conversations.

๐Ÿ“ˆ All in all, McDonald's alleges that it paid artificially inflated prices for pork during a considerable period of time – prices that never would've been charged under lawful competition. Click here for the full story.
