Hold onto your seats ๐Ÿ’บ

๐Ÿ’ธGrain prices were lightly mixed this week: traders are holding onto their seats as they await fresh signals on several fronts – whether China will ease current COVID-19 restrictions, what South American weather forecasts hold in store, and how the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine will unfold. Here’s an overview of the situation:

     • Corn prices suffered a small technical setback in overnight trading and closed with losses of around 0.4%. Corn basis bids were mostly steady across the central US.

     • Soybean prices held onto modest gains following a somewhat choppy session, influenced by the lockdowns in China. Bids were mostly steady across the central US as well.

     • Wheat prices were lightly mixed, but mostly lower after an uneven round of technical maneuvering.
