๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ“ƒ Thankfully, a modification to delay the implementation of California's Proposition 12 has been successfully filed by numerous stakeholders and state officials. The goal is to allow the US pork industry and food supply chain additional time to transition. The implementation is now delayed until January 1, 2024.

๐Ÿ•๐Ÿท This is welcome news to pig farmers and consumers – hopefully, it'll calm everyone's nerves a little. Nevertheless, even though California recognized the challenging situation of such a tight transition period such as the one they'd established and the amendment does give us more time, this is just a temporary solution, as the law will still come into effect.
