🔬 Maybe heat isn't exactly the best option… Research done at the University of Minnesota has used a surrogate virus called Emiliana huxleyi to investigate the behavior of the African Swine Fever (ASF) virus. Since the two viruses have similar thermal stability, the study has demonstrated that ASF is stable until 100 °C (212° F) – in other words, it is quite resistant to heat.
