๐Ÿท Argentina increased its pork production by 3.9% in 2022. It was such a record that the trend was still visible at the beginning of this year – during the first couple of months of 2023, the number of processed animals was 10.6% higher than in the same period last year.

     • The greater availability of pork meat in the domestic market resulting from China's significant drop in exports led to an increase of 6.1% in pork consumption per capita (another new record). However, the new outbreaks of African Swine Fever (ASF) in the Asian buyer could boost the export levels to those reached before the Covid-19 pandemic, thus recovering external demand.
