๐Ÿท It's been announced that 37 sow farms in Missouri, US, owned by Smithfield Foods, are closing doors. The news, reported by an anonymous employee, included negative market conditions and sow herd health issues as reasons for the measures.

At the time of the purchase, many worried about what it might entail and such concerns have lingered.
