๐Ÿ’‰ According to the Executive Director of the Swine Health Information Center (SHIC), having a commercially producible and effective vaccine against African Swine Fever (ASF) is a key point in eradicating the disease. However… he also says that goal is still purely aspirational – as is global eradication.

    • A vaccine must be safe and vaccinated pigs must be differentiated from those that are not. Even though prototypes are already under development, with great breakthroughs in Vietnam, much testing is needed and production is limited at this point.
