A great time for a get-together

US red meat suppliers met face-to-face with buyers from the Philippines and Vietnam at the US Meat Products Showcase, adding a personal connection between US Meat Export Federation (USMEF) members and exporters, and importers and processors in the Southeast Asian region.

• The marketplace has changed in the past two years due to the pandemic and the Philippines’ reduced tariffs on imported pork in face of ASF outbreaks. So now was a great time to bring the importers and suppliers together as the economies rebound and events are allowed at full capacity. 

Aaaand… it was a great opportunity to showcase the quality of US pork! Its export values have increased by 26% – with a 78% increase in the Philippines alone. Check out more about it here.
