๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง UK exports of pork totalled an increase of 4% in September, when compared to the previous month, and of 9%, when compared to last year. What does that mean? Well, it means a 7% increase year on year, but that the volumes remain below those from before the pandemic.

     • Volumes to China, the UK’s greatest importer, continue to decline as their domestic production recovers from ASF. The loss is counteracted by the EU, however, which continues to increase volumes. As for the rest of the world, volumes have dipped, but with the opening of new markets, more opportunities should be generated.

     •  As for imports of pork, volumes remain lower than levels seen before the pandemic and Brexit.
